David Furtak is director of corporate security and transportation for Health Net, Inc., in Shelton, Connecticut.  David joined Health Net in 2002 after retiring from a 27-year career as a special agent with the FBI. David is currently managing both security and transportation programs for the company.

Under David's supervision, Health Net's Northeast associates were able to join a pre-tax payroll program to fund commuting expenses, which has been so successful that the company is hoping to implement the program nationwide.  David also has been very active in promoting various commuting alternatives at Health Net's Shelton campus.
